I am a folk singer and 5 string banjo player living in Edinburgh. I sing mainly Scottish and Irish songs. I accompany myself on the 5 string banjo. I have recorded 4 albums since 1996. I am available to play at folk clubs and festivals.
I grew up near Alloway, in Ayrshire where Robert Burns was born, and I specialize in singing songs by Robert Burns.
I also like to sing songs from Northern Ireland where my father grew up and many of my relatives still reside. I have been singing and playing banjo for more than 30 years. Sometimes I am accompanied by my husband Ian , on percussion or guitar. I have also been accompanied by Roddy Neilson and Mike Slessor on fiddle; and by the late Murray McLeod on guitar.
